Membership with voting privileges is open to any New Hampshire Certified Midwives. Associate membership (without voting privileges) is available to all apprentice midwives, birth assistants, doulas, practicing midwives, medical professionals and members of the general public who support the standard of practice of this organization.

Membership includes attendance at all open meetings; inclusion on the mailing list, including on-line group forums; discounts for workshops and CEUs; and inclusion on the NHMA website and other promotional materials if desired.
Meetings are currently held every month and by special notice. Workshops for continuing education, training opportunities, peer reviews, or discussion may be held throughout the year. See the Resource page for details on upcoming events.
Becoming a NHCM or Renewing:
The principal focus of regulating the practice of midwifery is to preserve the rights of women to choose to deliver children at home and assuring quality care. To protect the health, safety and welfare of the people of the State, the Council certifies eligible applicants for certification, investigates complaints and undertakes disciplinary proceedings and disciplinary action.
